Emotional intelligence is a topic we return to over and over again at Harvard Business Review and my own interest in it has been longstanding, both as a leader myself and as one led by others. In making my way through senior editorial positions at a variety of magazines and then ManpowerGroup, where I was vice president of global thought leadership before joining HBR, I’ve learned that high IQ will only get you so far. EQ is the difference between adequate leaders and great ones.
This topic remains a passion, which is one of the reasons I am so excited to be chairing the 2015 EQ Summit.
Join fellow HR Directors, L&D Professionals, and Senior Leadership at the largest Emotional Intelligence event in Europe.
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is considered one of the single biggest predictors of performance in the workplace and the strongest driver of leadership and personal excellence. More recently Mindfulness has been incorporated in Leadership programmes at many global organisations. Both approaches are considered “must have” skills to adapt and thrive in the new economy.
This years EQ Summit features Amy Bernstein editor – Harvard Business Review, Dan Pink NY Times Bestseller and business leaders including Jeremy Darroch, Chief Executive at Sky. They are joined by leading psychologist and emotional intelligence authority Dr Martyn Newman, Alan Wallace, Eve Ekman and Dr. Geoff Bird – experts in mindfulness, neuroscience and leadership.
At the EQ Summit you will:

So get ahead of the curve, and join us at the EQ Summit which is being described as a ‘must attend’ event for Senior Leadership, HR professionals and L&D practitioners in the UK.
